Carrie: the Musical

Things ended up taking another sharp turn when our director had to leave during tech/performance week and I was thrust into their position at the last minute. I tried to make the transition as smooth as possible for the cast and made sure to keep the company on schedule as well as continuing to polish the production. Everything from the cue to cue rehearsal, to final dress, to opening and closing night was led by myself as I adapted and took on this new role.

For Laboratory Theatre Company's production of Lawernce Cohen's Carrie: the Musical I took on the role of Assistant Director. This show was a beast for a student run production company to take on and on top of everything, this was still in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so we ended up having to reschedule the show for the safety of our company members. We were all masked up every day, except the two nights of performance, and I remember having to create COVID compliance standards for our cast members to follow based on the CDC's recommendations.
