25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee 

In addition to it being my first time using this kind of console, this venue had a runway style stage, no technical booth, and my only way to see what was happening on stage was through a small screened baby monitor operating at like 5 frames per second and a 3 second delay. This project helped me learn the importance of knowing the show you're working on inside and out. I had to know where in the music and dialogue my cues went in order to get the timing just right, as well, I had to be sure to indicate my cues for the sound designer and music director to ensure all the music that was based on my lighting cues had seamless transitions.

For Laboratory Theatre Company's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by Rachel Sheinkin, in addition to my duties as the Artistic Director of LTC, I was the Lighting Designer and Operator for this production. This was my first time working on an ETC Element console but luckily the Technical Director of the venue, Payton Jackson, helped answer all my questions and grow more confident to tackle this show.
