Julius Caesar 

When selecting William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar for the '23-'24 Season opener as Company Manager for LTC's Executive Board, I had no idea that I would be thrust into the director role. Not only had I never worked on a Shakespeare show before, but I was also tasked with navigating a very unique venue, Founder's Park in Springfield, MO. This venue was never meant to be a performance space, in fact it is a city park built entirely out of cement. But I knew with a little grunt work and creative problem solving, my team and I could make this happen.

I was privileged to work with a cast made mainly of first year college students who were eager to make this classic story come to life in their own unique way. As Company Manager, I proposed gender-inclusive casting for this production, meaning regardless of an actor's gender expression or identity, so long as they were comfortable, they were to be considered for any role.
